The boat Aura Marina is moored at the Marina Rubicón in the south of Lanzarote island.
Lanzarote is the most north-easterly island of the Canary Island archipelago, it is about 70 miles far from the African coast and 620 miles from Gibraltar. The Marina Rubicón stands out for the calm sea, the nearness to the neighbouring islands of Fuerteventura and Lobos and its proximity to the famous Playas de Papagayo.
Marina Rubicón is in an area of great interest. The marina is located between the centre of Playa Blanca, a picturesque village that traditionally lived off fishing and exporting sea salt, and the heavenly Papagayo beaches. The climate is undoubtedly the best in the whole island, sheltered from the wind and with sun and mild temperatures year long. Playa Blanca is now the fastest growing tourist area in Lanzarote, due to its unrivalled climate and fantastic beaches.
The Marina´s situation is perfect for reaching the best fishing fields of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. The airport is reached in half an hour and Arrecife, the island’s capital, in 35 minutes. The centre of Playa Blanca and its harbour with the ferry to Fuerteventura are 1 kilometre from Marina Rubicón ( 30 minutes crossing ). Bus services and taxi ranks are available 24 hours a day and there is a wide range of hire cars to choose from.
